Our Grow Story
A New Leaf is motivated by the strength and edurance of a mother who took salvage in a women's shelter, with her young children after a horrendus GBV attack.
Selling microgreens became a beacon of hope for her.
Co-founder, Natasha joined the her to help market the product, and was incredibly inspired by the story.
"Having grown in a home with domestic violence myself, this was a cause very close to my heart. I knew from the start we could help more women.
After putting my experience as an entrepeneur into play, I created business plans and got funding and
in October 2024, A New Leaf was born.
Our buisness model aids to create income streams for women in difficult situations and mothers living in poverty and in GBV shelters.
Our goal is help educate these women in creating thier own farming business and assist them in making that dream a reality"
Growing helps us nurture our bodies, protect our sisterhood and honor the land.
We pride our selves in sustainable, organic practises and reduce, resuse and recycle wherever possible.
Every seed planted blooms into a beautiful new story, stories written in pain, stories shared over meals, healed by food grown in goodness and cooked with love.
